before the New Year arrived!
Welcome to the home of Melody & Richard Hudson…
The candles are lit just for you!
We thought we’d show you some sweet little
vignettes around the house…
Starting with Melody’s favorite Nativity.
Her mother, Anne, gave her this one,
and also made the little box.
A dear friend, Charlene, gave her the angel…
The Carolers are getting ready for the holiday celebration…
Marilyn brought fresh tulips for
the Hudsons’ Williamsburg Finger Vase…
The red really adds a splash of color!
An antique crock holds some lit greenery…
Donna Lea made this precious Christmas box…
And pomanders, pine, and pewter look festive!
A hand-carved Angel by Joe Santangelo
waits in the shadows…
In the Buttery, even the mice are giving gifts…
If you look very closely, one little mouse has a beribboned
piece of cheese for his friend!
And Chestnuts are roasting on…
a battery-operated tea light!
Now, is THAT smart.
Upstairs, a little mouse waits for Christmas
in a tiny leather shoe…
And the Little Match Girl
sells her wares.
A Willow Tree angel leads two little girls
to the creche at a country church…
And in the upstairs hall, a Homeless Angel
reminds us to think of others…
Downstairs again, the seven-foot Feather Tree
displays three decades-worth of Melody’s hand-blown
ornament collection… plus a few that were from her childhood!
And a little donkey stands vigil…
Tiny Tim bids
“God bless us, every one”…
And under the tree, a Steadfast Tin Soldier
reminds us of the most important gift of all…

What an amazingly beautiful tour! I had the pleasure of entering this house on the day of Kate’s wedding and I was astounded at the beauty. Such exquisite taste! Such peace and warmth. Thank you for sharing these Christmas photos. That dear little mouse in the leather shoe drew a long sigh out of my heart.
